REEI_UnbearableBurden_CoverREEI has led a series of pilot activities in China to encourage greater collaboration between the energy and health sector: hosting a roundtable with leading health researchers, conducting a literature review, identifying key partners and champions in the health sector, and coordinating with local and national environmental groups.

REEI released a literature review called “Unbearable Burden: Health Impact of Coal Combustion in China” in February 2014. It also convened a successful roundtable in Beijing in May 2014 with 20 participants from leading health institutions in China.
